Business Referrals
The Chamber receives over 5,000 calls per year. We direct residents and visitors to Chamber businesses when they are seeking products and services. The Chamber office also serves as the “Information Center” for our area. We provide information for the areas of Cedar Hills, American Fork, Highland, and Alpine.
Free Advertising
We mail out relocation and new move-in packets to new residents when they sign up for utilities or request by mail or phone. Chamber business owners are invited, at no cost, to include promotional items; such as flyers, coupons, letter openers, or pencils, etc. which we will include in our welcome bag. Yearly, we produce a North Utah county Area Guide and chamber businesses are listed in the directory.
Community Involvement and Chamber Events
We sponsor many community and chamber events. From our annual Steak Fry at Steel Days to our Charity Food Drives–we cover the spectrum. Other activities include: Annual awards banquet, Women’s in Business and Wellness Conference, Halloween Fun-Run, Bi-Annual Business After Hours Social, “Lucky 13” Golf Tournament.
Member Luncheons and Networking Opportunities
Luncheons are held on the second Thursday of the month at noon in the Quality Inn Hotel. A guest speaker or “Meet the Candidate” along with a delicious catered lunch (additional cost) is provided. This is a great opportunity to network with local business leaders. One can also sponsor a luncheon. Sponsors are given an opportunity to tell members all about their business to a captive audience.
Grand Opening /Remodels/ Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
We can assist you with ribbon cutting ceremonies or grand (re)openings, press releases and address labels for invitations. We will include the event in our newsletter and in the city newsletters. We can also coordinate invitations to local government officials and royalty. Sam’s Club will provide a grand opening cake. We encourage you to contact us 15 days prior to your event to receive the maximum coverage and for assistance in planning your event.
Newsletter / Website
The chamber sends out monthly newsletters online. This helps us to improve lines of communication about the openings of new businesses, city events, government matters and business news. We also maintain our website at www.afchamber.org
Group Discounts
We offer a 50% discount on newspaper Advertising through the Daily Herald and the American Fork Citizen. Contact Lane DuBois at 756-7669 Ext 14 for more details. Stevens-Henegar College offers discounts on tuition for employees. Free Audio Conferencing is offering free conference calls to chamber members through their website freeaudioconferencing.com.
Corporate BBQ’s
The chamber owns an event grill which can be used for company picnics or barbecues. This grill has over 1,000 sq inches of grilling space and two propane tanks. A small cleaning deposit will be refunded upon return of grill. Call Debby Lauret is schedule use of the chamber grill.
